The Bristol Kendall Fire Protection faces rescue challenges in bodies of water also whether it be the Fox River or the district’s many ponds and creeks. These types of rescues can consist of locating lost kayakers or tubers, ice rescue, and swift water rescue. The district has had personnel trained to operate boats since the mid 1900’s. In 2013 several personnel were sent to Swiftwater Training which started the first official Water Rescue Team. The team currently has 12 personnel trained in Swiftwater and continues to recruit more. All shift personnel complete ice rescue training annualy.
