On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Fire Commissioners, and the men and women of the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. The Fire District protects the majority of the Bristol and Kendall Townships which is approximately 77 square miles. The Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District was started in 1937, and is one of the oldest fire districts in Illinois. The mission of the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District shall be: To provide emergency response to fires, emergency medical services, explosions, hazardous material response and other emergencies that may arise within the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District, Kendall County, Illinois and/or surrounding areas. To promote Fire Prevention and Public Education, Safety Awareness and Goodwill in the community.

To fulfill our mission the officers and firefighters continually train to maintain their skill levels along with learning new skills to improve the service we provide to the District residents. Our specialty teams consisting of Swift Water Rescue, and Technical Rescue Teams are ready to respond. The District continues to grow both in new residential housing as well as commercial buildings. Our fire prevention bureau works with the builders along with inspecting existing commercial properties. The District provides public education programs from children to our older community.
